At the end of the San Siro clash against Lecce, the Rossoneri are happy for the win achieved in the final part of the game and for the three points for the standings with regards to the Champions League qualification.
MILAN - These are the declarations of the Rossoneri players at the end of Milan-Lecce 2-0:
PHILIPPE SENDEROS:
It was important to win these three points. It doesn’t have any importance if Ronaldinho or I scored the goal. It was fundamental to win for the team, especially at San Siro in front of our own fans. It was a difficult game as Lecce was closing down well at the back and we were finding it difficult to find spaces.
However, we had the right patience and we were rewarded with this win which takes us to a good league position with regards to the Champions League.Now we want to continue like this. There was a lot of emotions after the goal, then I’m personally happy to be part of this squad.
FILIPPO INZAGHI:
It was a tough game and I’m happy because we obtained an important result. Lecce were placed well on the pitch. At first we started out well, but we did not manage to open the result before; the game would have been different.
Then the goal arrived on a set-piece. On my goal, I must thank Shevchenko because it’s all thanks to him I scored. I see him well, even during training he works well. I’m happy for the team because we are many champions and the coach has a lot of choice in deciding who to field.
